Tell me all about the proposal! I want to hear every little detail.
“Let me start by saying Trey cannot keep a secret. He was SO excited about the ring, so I knew almost everything about it. I knew he had the ring and I knew he’d asked my dad for my hand in marriage (even my dad spilled the beans on that one too).
We were having a Kentucky Derby party, so I figured he would ask that day before everyone came over. So Friday night, before the party, I went over to Trey’s and had a ton of stuff in my car that I needed him to help me bring up to his apartment. He walked down the stairs and almost immediately got down on one knee. I can still picture him, his arm shaking a little, as he held out the ring. I grabbed the ring, started crying, and forgot to say yes. It was a perfect proposal! Unfortunately, I had signed us up for a “Date Night” class at Hilliard Studio Method that night (don’t know how I convinced him to go to this). You have to cancel at least 3 hours in advance, and we missed that window. So, right after our engagement, we had to go workout 🙂 Luckily, we were able to enjoy a couple of drinks after class to celebrate.” ~ Jamie
