The Art of Vintage Cameras

Opening the cardboard box and discovering not one but three beautiful vintage cameras made my heart skip a beat. What a thoughtful and amazing gift from my Dad. He always knew just the way to my heart at any given time and after he discovered my passion for taking photos he helped create another passion for collecting vintage cameras. Whenever he would run across one he would buy it for me and squirrel it away until my birthday or Christmas. One year I received a box full, so full I lost count as I pulled them out one by one and unwrapped them. Each one unique and each one saved for me with love and care. These cameras remind me of more then just my passion for photography, they remind me of the love I have for my Dad and how much I miss him. I cherish these cameras along with all the memories of good times spent with my Dad.

For the longest time my collection has been spread throughout our house and some in storage because I ran out of room to display them. Today that changed when my amazing husband hung shelving for me to display most of them in one room. I am giddy with happiness to see my cherished possessions staring back at me every time I walk into the room. Here is how the transformation turned out…
