The day before Thanksgiving, I walked downstairs in my parents house and he was standing at the bottom of the stairs with the ring in his hand and he asked me straightaway. He had planned to ask me the week before on my birthday, but the ring hadn’t arrived, so he wanted to get it done before family arrived for the holidays.

Kirby makes me laugh all the time. He doesn’t let life get under his skin and is very easy going about most things. He keeps me very relaxed. We never run out of things to talk about. He is close to both his family and mine.
