Into the Forest we go…

You know what they say the third time is the charm…well we had to reschedule Rachael and Bobby’s engagement session three times due to bad weather. I was so happy the weather was amazing for our third attempt and successful session! Rachael and bobby love Christmastime and we originally planned to do their shoot at a Christmas Tree stand but since we rescheduled to the day after Christmas the stands were all completely empty. Back up plan to the forest we went. The pine trees were massive and gave a cozy feeling to their shoot. We ended in uptown Charlotte to capture some of the Holiday lights which turned out beautifully.

I always ask clients what they love about each other and I totally adore what Rachael and Bobby had to say about each other:

Question for the GROOM: What things do you love the most about her? I love that Rachael is my best friend. We can finish each other’s sentences and can always talk to each other. Rachael is such a great person with a warm heart. She truly loves to be loved. She is always doing kind things for myself and others. Rachael has such a warm heart. I know she will always be there for me, through the good and the bad. I’d say my favorite thing about Rachael is her personality and the way she makes me feel as a person.

Question for the BRIDE: What things do you love the most about him? I love how he can make an entire room laugh and never takes himself too seriously. I love how he enjoys the simple things in life and would rather build a fort at home and roast marshmallows sometimes instead if always having to go out. I love how ambitious he is and how successful he wants to be not only for us, but for our future children so they can go to college and be given some of life’s greatest opportunities. I love how much he wants to be a dad and how great of a dad I know he’ll be. I love that he’s close with his sisters and his mom and always puts family first. I love that even we’re running around in the morning to get ready, he’ll stop me just to tell me he loves me and more recently, I love when he tells me he can’t wait to marry me and for me to be his wife.

Bobby is moving to London in January and Rachael will stay in NC for a short time so her sister made them these cute coffee mugs to help them feel closer until they are both in England together.
