Tell us all about the proposal! We want to hear every little detail.
We had a trip to Spain scheduled for late August and we were considering doing a day trip to Paris. Well, little did I know, he was planning on proposing in Paris. But, as our trip neared, I suggested we save Paris for another time and make it a separate trip. He wasn’t fond of that idea..because it totally messed up his plans..but he went with it. At the same time, my ring wasn’t quite ready either. So he decided to postpone the engagement. For his birthday in late September, I suggested we take one last trip to the beach. Nothing to fancy. Myrtle Beach. Which, ironically is where we went on our first vacation together. The night after his birthday, he asked if I wanted to take a walk on the beach. Not thinking anything of it, I said sure and threw on a sweater and yoga pants. Next thing you know, we were on the beach in front of a bunch of hotels and people standing on their balconies and Matt was down on one knee just as nervous as could be. His hands and voice were shaking. I was so shocked! I must have said “YES! are you serious?! But YES” a dozen times.
