Ballantyne Hotel Wedding and Reception Alexandra and Steve

I Love getting to know my clients. I want to know all the juicy details. I feel this helps me know what is important to you on your wedding day.

Alexandra, How did Steve propose?

“There is a restaurant in Hoboken (Elysian Cafe) that has live music every Friday and Saturday nights. We often go see a certain guitarist on Friday nights; Steve has been seeing this guitarist for years, and this has been one of our favorite activities since we have been together (as date night, with friends, for birthdays, or any reason at all). One Friday in October, Steve told me that we were meeting friends for dinner and to see the guitarist. As we were getting ready to leave, Steve called me into the living room to watch “a youtube video his dad sent him”. He had pulled up a video on our TV, and what I thought was a youtube video was a 10 minute montage he made of pictures of us, cards we had written each other, video clips from our relationship, and culminated with a few words and a song from the guitarist we love. He then proposed in our living room. We went out to meet our friends for dinner (or so I thought!), and when we walked into the restaurant, I was surprised by both of our families and all of our closest friends to celebrate for the night.”
