Let’s get to know Shannon and Jamyon…
How did you meet?
Jamyon and I met my freshman year at Duke (his sophomore year), through one of my sorority sisters. We didn’t start dating until years later however, in 2006 off and on, then more seriously in 2011.
Where was your first date?
Our very first date was watching the Florida State/Penn State bowl game in January of 2006 (we are both huge sports fans, as Jamyon is a former college football player and I have grown up going to Florida State football games!)
How did he propose?
We went back to Duke to watch Duke vs. UVa basketball (again, sports are a huge part of our lives!), and he proposed in front of the Duke Chapel, on the campus where we met 🙂
