Kelsey, How did Mike propose?
“We went for a last-minute weekend getaway to Highlands, NC. Saturday afternoon we went for a hike (this was our 2nd hike after one in the morning). It was pouring down rain as we were driving to Nantahala National Forest but we kept going. Everyone else was coming down Whiteside Mountain as the rain slowed down and we went up! There is supposed to be this amazing view at the top and when we got there we couldn’t see 2 feet in front of our faces! We walked around then sat down on the rock-face and just talked for a bit. I was ready to go back down and head to lunch when all of the sudden I remember him bringing up how long we’ve dated and how much we’ve been through…then he said…”well, I have a question…” and dropped down on one knee in front of me and asked: “Kelsey Lynne Smith, will you marry me?” One he pulled the ring out of his pocket the sun literally came out through the clouds and within minutes the view appeared and it was beautiful!”
