Erin and Greg live and go out around Uptown Charlotte, and consider their style “Metropolitan” so doing their engagement session in uptown was perfect for them.
These two are so great for each other. Their sweet notes about what they love most are so sentimental and adorable!
Where was your first date? What did you do?
We met at Thomas Street Tavern on a weekday night in February. I suggested we meet at that location because I knew they had ping-pong tables, and thought it would be a good ice breaker for a first date. Thomas Street was mostly vacant that night, because an impending snow storm was rolling in. We had great conversations! Little did I know at the time, Greg is a ping-pong enthusiast and insisted we play in the snow.
Tell me all about the proposal! I want to hear every little detail.
We got engaged at the the Customshop on December 11, 2016. We had an amazing dinner, and over the bread pudding Greg proposed on one knee. Greg’s brother, Mark and sister-in-law, Sarah, drove up and waited outside until he proposed and then joined up for a champagne toast.
Question for the GROOM: What things do you love the most about her?
What I love most about Erin is being able to be my self around her. We are silly together, making each other laugh, teasing each other, and just having fun. when we are with each other, stress disappears. She is such a caring person who is there for me when I need her most. Erin is truely my best friend and someone that makes the best out of any situation. Her love for animals has brought us closer together and pushed me to rescue a crazy dog I would never have on my own.
Question for the BRIDE: What things do you love the most about him?
EVERYTHING! It’s impossible for me to describe how perfect Greg is for me. He has a wonderful, patient heart. He is close to his family and friends and alway makes a meaningful effort to maintain his relationships and friendships he has made. Greg always listens to me and knows how to read me. Most of the time we don’t even need to say anything to know how one another are feeling. Or we can sit and have a conversation that lasts a whole night. Even if I tell the same story for the 20th time he listens to me like it was the first time he heard it. He makes me feel safe, secure and loved. I also find him quite handsome.
