We had an upcoming trip planned back home for Christmas. Stephanie’s entire family, now scattered throughout the US, was planning on flying into NJ to all celebrate in one place for the first time in years! We’ve had this trip planned for a while- Cody thought it’d be the perfect time to pop the question back home surrounded by family, celebrating our favorite holiday…. and then COVID happened. Instead, he proposed on Thanksgiving Day, while we were having our first-holiday dinner, just the two of us, in our new house! We spent the rest of the day FaceTiming family & friends. It was a relaxed and super special day!
